How we save you 50–70%.

Same brands, smaller prices, and no catch. Here is how it works, and how to read the date on anything you buy.

Draft copy for the owners to confirm: how we source our stock.
  1. Other stores can't sell it. A warehouse ends up with too much, a label changes, a season ends, or a product is discontinued. Good food, wrong moment.
  2. We buy it for less. We buy those loads at a deep discount, from eggs and produce to pantry staples and bakery items.
  3. You pay a fraction. We pass the savings on, so the same name brands cost 50–70% less here than at a regular grocery store.

Reading the date on the package.

Except for infant formula, the dates on food packages are about quality, not safety (USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service). Here is what each one means.

Best if used by
When the food tastes its best. It is not a safety date. Most food is fine to eat after it if it was stored right.
Sell by
A note for the store about how long to display it. It is not a safety date either.
Use by
The last day for peak quality. The one real exception is infant formula: never use it past this date.
Freeze by
Freeze it before this date to keep the best quality.

Whatever the date says, check that cans aren't bulging or leaking and that packages are sealed.

Good questions.

Are these really name brands?

Yes. The same brands you see at any neighborhood grocery store, for 50–70% less.

Do you take EBT?

Yes. Both stores accept EBT, credit and debit cards.

Can I buy produce by the case?

Many produce deals come two ways: by the each, or by the whole case for even less. Look for the case price on the tag.

Why does the stock keep changing?

We buy what is available that week, so deals come and go fast. Once it is gone, it is gone. Deal alerts and our Facebook page tell you what is new.

When are you open?

Both stores are open Monday to Saturday, 10am to 5:30pm, and closed Sunday.

Get the deals before they sell out.

The best finds go fast. Get a text or email when new deals hit the shelf. No Facebook account needed.
